The Mission Statement

We, the congregation of First A.M.E. Zion Church, are aware that we are God's "called out ones' (ecclesia=the church). We are aware that we are to focus on the praise and adoration of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is our duty.

In so doing we recognize our further duty, as Christ's disciples to:

• Live such a life, in and away from the physical church, that Christ's light will be manifested in our walk and in our talk;
  
  
• Pray and sincerely believe that God will send His Holy Spirit to draw the unsaved in our homes, in our families and in out village to salvation. To this end we are committed to pray daily, in faithful belief;
  
  
• Instruct the total being - body, mind, soul and spirit - of each member with the aim that they will be equipped to move from one degree of Christian perfection to another; making a sincere and dedicated commitment to daily bible reading with The Daily Bread; regularly attending Sunday School and/or Bible Study.
  
  
• Impact the larger community through avenues that will embrace them to live an abundant life of self-esteem, dignity and a yearning to know THE ONE WE KNOW.
